Phalaenopsis Orchid (Moth Orchid) 🌸✨
The Phalaenopsis Orchid is the definition of effortless elegance, long arching stems, glossy leaves, and blooms that last for weeks (sometimes months). Native to Southeast Asian rainforests, this orchid thrives in warm, bright homes and brings a soft, luxurious feel to any space.
It’s a classic for gifting, but equally perfect for adding a touch of calm beauty to your own bedside table, bathroom shelf, or office desk.
Plant Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sun which can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Check the orchid bark and roots before watering. Water thoroughly when the bark is approaching dryness and roots appear silvery, then drain fully. Avoid leaving water in the crown or standing in water.
Temperature: Prefers 18–26°C. Keep away from cold draughts or radiators.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate humidity, mist lightly or place near other plants.
Feed: Use a specialist orchid feed every 2–4 weeks during active growth.
Good to Know
Blooming: Blooms can last 8–12 weeks and return once or twice a year with proper care.
Also Known As: Moth Orchid, Phal Orchid.
Origin: Tropical forests of Southeast Asia and northern Australia.
