Poppies & Bubbles | Floral Arrangement Workshop | Sun 31st January

Big heads. Bold colour. Winter flowers with absolutely no intention of behaving.

Poppies are one of those flowers that barely need an introduction - delicate, papery, slightly unruly and ridiculously good when they’re given room to do their thing.

For this one-off January workshop, we’re putting them centre stage.

You’ll be working with organically grown poppies from the Parodi family in San Remo, the very growers we visited last January, alongside a mix of seasonal flowers chosen to give the design movement, texture and plenty of colour.

Rather than making a traditional hand-tied bouquet, you’ll create a loose, sculptural arrangement using natural, sustainable mechanics - no floral foam, no stuffing it full of filler, and definitely no forcing every stem to sit neatly in line.

We’ll show you how to condition and work with poppies, how to build shape without making things stiff, and how to use the natural bends, movement and character of each stem to your advantage.

There’ll be fizz. There’ll be flowers. There’ll almost certainly be one poppy doing whatever the hell it wants.
