Join us for Mantelpiece Masterpiece, our Christmas garland workshop, and create something rather lovely to take home - with fresh seasonal foliage, gorgeous textures and a festive tipple along the way.
Think Irish-grown spruce, eucalyptus, cones, dried fruit and cinnamon, layered into a generous garland that makes the whole room feel like Christmas. Smells pretty good, too.
The workshop
Our florists will guide you through the Memento way of building and styling your garland, showing you how to create shape, depth and that naturally trailing finish before adding all the good festive bits.
We’ll teach you the techniques, then give you plenty of freedom to make it your own. You’ll also leave with practical advice on caring for your garland and keeping it looking fresh throughout the festive season.
No floristry experience? Absolutely no problem. We’ll bring the foliage, materials and know-how — you just bring yourself.

The garland pictured is approximately 5ft. Candles are not included.
Local next-day delivery within 12 miles can be arranged for an additional fee.
Wrap up cosy for the evening - Christmas spirit we’ve plenty of, but Belfast still has a say in the temperature.

Do I need any experience?
Beginners are welcome at our public workshops. Our team demonstrates the techniques and guides you as you make your own piece. The DIY Terrarium Bar is a separate, self-led experience.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Come with friends or come yourself. You will share the making table with other guests.
Where are the workshops held?
Public sessions on this page take place at Memento, 1A Haywood Avenue, Ormeau Road, Belfast BT7 3EU. Private events can also be arranged at your venue.
What is included in my ticket?
Each listing explains the creation, materials, guidance and refreshments included. Food and alcohol vary by event, so check your chosen session.
How do DIY bookings work?
Choose an available booking window on the product page. For Build a Terrarium, the team contacts you with your allocated slot. Repotting has additional per-plant charges shown on its booking page.
What if I need to change my booking?
Please contact events@mementobelfast.com with your order number. Check the booking and refund information before purchasing.
What should I know before visiting?
Arrive 10 minutes before a taught workshop. There is on-street parking in the Ormeau area, subject to availability and local restrictions. Contact us before booking if you would like to discuss access requirements. Bring an extra layer for winter sessions.
