A rare hybrid and a true collector’s plant. The ‘Ring of Fire’ is famous for its jagged, tooth-like leaves splashed with bold shades of green, yellow, orange, and red. Each leaf is a work of art, making this one of the most striking philodendrons you can own.
Its dramatic foliage brings an exotic, fiery touch to any indoor jungle, guaranteed to be a showstopper in your collection.
Plant Care
- Light: Thrives in medium to bright, indirect light. Can tolerate lower light, but avoid direct sun which can scorch the leaves.
- Watering: Water when the top 2–3cm of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot — droopy leaves can mean too much or too little water.
- Temperature: Prefers 18–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts and don’t let it drop below 15°C.
- Humidity: Loves high humidity (above 60%). Mist regularly or use a humidifier. Will cope with average household humidity.
- Feed: Apply a balanced fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during the growing season.
Good to Know
- Hybrid Origins: A cultivated hybrid with parent species from Central and South America.
- Also Known As: Tiger Tooth Philodendron.
- Toxicity: Leaves are toxic if ingested — keep away from pets and children.
- Growth: Slow-growing but highly rewarding.
