Epipremnum ‘Marble Planet’ 🌍💚

A compact pothos with serious texture, Marble Planet is all about those thick, rippled leaves marbled in deep greens and silvery tones. Unlike trailing pothos varieties, this one grows in a more upright, bushy form — making it perfect for shelves, side tables, or anywhere you want impact without the sprawl.

Native to Southeast Asia, it’s incredibly easy-going and thrives in almost any home environment. If you love a plant that looks expensive but behaves like a saint, this is your one.

Plant Care

Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal, but it’ll tolerate medium light too. Avoid direct sun to protect the variegation.
Watering: Water when the top 2–3cm of soil feels dry. It prefers to slightly dry out between waterings.
Temperature: Happy between 18–26°C. Keep away from cold draughts.
Humidity: Average home humidity is fine, but it’ll appreciate a light mist now and then.
Feed: A balanced houseplant fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer.

Good to Know

Growth: Compact, bushy growth habit — perfect for smaller spaces.
Air Purifying: Known for helping clean the air.

Origin: Native to Southeast Asia.

Good To Know

Air Purifying

These plants help create a fresher and healthier environment by filtering out airborne toxins, and converting them to oxygen. Bonus!

Not a Diva

Nothing special on this leafy star's rider. Happy just to get on with life and do it's thing, like an old friend just hangin' out.

Not for Pets or Kids

Beautiful but with a dark side. The leaves and/or other parts of this plant can be toxic. Keep away from pets, children and adults who never grew up.

How not to kill your Epipremnum Marble Planet

We've created a personalised Grow Guide for your Epipremnum Marble Planet. Just follow this easy guide and you & your new leafy mate will be loving life together!

Surviving

Light: Indirect

I'm pretty flexible, actually. Generally I'd rather be in a bright spot, with plenty of indirect light. But if all you've got is a moderately shady corner, that's no biggie I'll happily adapt with perhaps a bit less watering. Just keep me out of any harsh, direct sun and we'll get on just fine.

Humidity: Normal

Atmospherics? I'm really not that bothered, actually. Just your everyday household humidity is fine. No extra attention required, thanks, so don't be comin' at me with that spritzer!

Watering: Light

When it comes to drinking,I'm a Lizzie Lightweight, the cheapest date in town! Just a small one for me, please, and don't be rushing to top me up either. I won't thank you for it. Allow my soil to dry out almost completely between waterings, and we'll get on just fine.

Thriving

Give it steady light and let the soil lightly dry between waterings. Rotate occasionally to keep its shape even. Dust the leaves every few weeks — the texture can catch dust, and clean leaves always grow better.

Memento Top Tip

If leaves lose their marbling or turn a flat green, move it somewhere brighter — this variety shows its best colours when it’s getting the good light.
