Alocasia
Alocasia likes rainforest vibes warm and damp, but not in full sun.
The leaves turn towards the light, so rotate regularly to prevent the plant from growing crooked.
Water regularly. The soil should not be allowed to dry out.
The plant hibernates in winter, and needs less water.
Alocasia enjoys the odd shower, so give it some 'rain' under your bathroom shower, or pop it outside under warm summer rain.
Chamaedorea Elegans
Water once the soil begins to dry out. Don't overwater and ensure the plant has proper drainage to prevent root rot
Shade tolerant. Brighter, indirect sunlight will encourage flowering.
Can tolerate some dry, indoor air, but does better with a little extra humidity and will appreciate the occasional misting with lukewarm water, which will also help keep the leaves free of dust. Brown leaf tips are an indication that the plant is not getting enough humidity.

Calathea
Calathea is a fan of low light or filtered sunlight.
The plant also likes damp air at temperatures between 15 and 23°C.
Give your Calathea some water twice a week and spray it regularly.
In the winter it's happy with less water.
If it’s had a growth spurt, repot your plant in the spring.
Fittonia
Low to medium light. Avoid direct sunlight
Keep soil constantly moist. Nerve plant will collapse if it dries out. Yellow leaves on this plant indicate too much water or poor drainage.
Pinch off stem tips regularly to keep plant bushy and full.
This tropical beauty loves to be misted.
Perfect for terrariums!
Peace Lily
Peace lily likes a light spot, but not in full sun.
This houseplant cannot tolerate the cold - a room temperature of 18-22 °C is perfect.
Peace lily likes to have slightly damp soil.
A plant spray or mild shower will make the Peace lily think it’s back in the rainforest.
You should remove wilted flowers to encourage the plant to bloom for longer.

Asparagus Fern
Asparagus setaceus plumosus
Make sure that the pot soil remains damp.
Don’t water into the heart of the plant - it doesn’t like it.
Regularly spray your fern with a plant spray or tepid water, and feed it every 2 weeks April to Sept. Loves a humid environment
Take some time to separate out the individual stems this will prevent it drying up and browning in the centre
Place it in a light spot, but not in direct sunlight.
ZZ Plant
Zamioculcas zamiifolia
Shade tolerant house plant. Happy anywhere from low to bright light, however avoid direct sunlight.
Water when slightly dry. Drought tolerant. Do not over-water.
Apply a weak dose of a liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Mildly toxic if ingested.

Aloe Vera
Bright, indirect sun light.
Does best in dry conditions. After watering, allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Less water is required in winter.
Aloe vera will not tolerate excess water or standing in water so ensure the water can drain freely or pot has good drainage
Average household temperatures are fine with a minimum of 10°C
Aloe vera should not require additional feeding, but if your plant looks like it could do with a boost, apply a phosphorus-heavy, water-based fertiliser at half-strength during the spring

String of Pearls/Beads
Bright, indirect light. Some morning or late afternoon sun would be a bonus.
Senecio are very drought tolerant, storing water in their leaves. Allow the soil to start to dry out between watering. Do not over-water or allow the plants to sit in water.
Warm room temperatures of 21-24°C are perfect in summer. Cooler winter temperatures around 13-16°C
A weak solution of balanced fertiliser once a month during summer.
Simply trim to desired length if they become too long
Mildly toxic if eaten. Keep away from children and animals.
Yucca
Bright, direct sunlight. Will tolerate some light shade; however, this will slow its growth and lighten the leaf colour.
Allow the top of the soil to dry out before watering. In low light conditions, allow half of the soil to dry out first. Can cope with some degree of drought. Ensure there is adequate drainage and don't allow to sit in water.
Adaptable to pretty much any indoor room temperature.
Leaf tips are sharp so take care whilst handling.
Toxic to animals, keep away from pets.
Will not tolerate excess water or standing in water so ensure the water can drain freely or pot has good drainage
Average household temperatures are fine with a minimum of 10°C
Pilea Peperomioides
Moderate to bright, indirect light but will tolerate partial shade. Avoid direct sunlight.
Water when the soil has begun to dry out. Note: the leaves will begin to droop if the plant needs to be watered. Don’t let the plant sit in water.
Average to warm temperatures from 16-24°C but can cope with as low as 10°C.
Pilea peperomioides need fairly high humidity levels. Use a pebble tray or if potted out mist with tepid water
Apply a half-strength balanced fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
The stems on the Pilea are very fragile and can just drop off on their own accord. This is nothing to worry about.
Maranta Leuconeura
Often referred to as Prayer Plants, along with their closely related cousins Calathea, Maranta leaves have the unusual characteristic of lying flat during the day and then closing upwards at night as if in prayer.
Maranta grow best in bright light, but will tolerate shade. Avoid direct sunlight.
Keep the soil moist at all times, but do not over-water or allow the plant to sit in soggy conditions. Watering with soft, lukewarm water is recommended.
Average to warm temperatures from 18-27°C but can cope with as low as 15°C. Avoid draughts.
Increased humidity levels are a must. Stand on a wet pebble tray to improve humidity and mist frequently. Brown leaf tips are a tell-tale sign that the surrounding air is too dry.

Philodendron Scanden
Philodendron scandens is known as the Sweetheart Plant, or Heart-Leaf, due to the beautiful leaf shape
Versatile. Best in medium light. Can tolerate bright light, but not direct sunlight. Perfect for shady spots too.
Keep the soil moist at all times. Allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before re-watering.
Average household temperatures from 16-24°C are ideal.
Apply a weak solution of liquid fertiliser two or three times during the growing season.
Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to remove accumulated dust.
These plants are poisonous. Keep plants away from children and pets and take care when handling.

Monstera Deliciosa
It is actually a climber, using its aerial roots in its native rain forests to scale to enormous (monstrous) heights. Grown indoors it needs space
Monstera deliciosa is easy to care for so long as it has moist, warm conditions.
Prefers bright, indirect light but will tolerate moderate shade. Avoid direct sunlight
Water when the soil has started to dry out.
Monstera deliciosa likes warm conditions from 18-27°C. Anything lower than this will reduce the plant's growth rate. It will tolerate 12°C and above but keep away from cold draughts.
Happy with average to high humidity levels. Cannot cope in dry air situations.
Feed once a month with a balanced fertiliser during the growing period.
Wipe the leaves occasionally to remove accumulated dust.
Use a moss pole to support the plant (the roots will cling to this for support) or cut back if it gets too big
Leaves are poisonous, keep away from pets and children.
Ficus Lyrata
Ficus lyrata are perfect for adding some serious, air-cleansing, greenery to your indoor living space.
Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some light shade and some direct (but not harsh or midday) morning or afternoon sun.
Water when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil moist at all times, but do not over water as this will cause brown spots and leaf drop.
Ideal temperatures are 16-24°C. Avoid cold draughts.
Mist occasionally
Apply a weak dose of a fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
Insufficient light or incorrect watering can trigger brown spots and leaf drop. Adjust as necessary and your plant should quickly recover. Trim to maintain shape, but be aware that sticky latex will ooze from the ends of the cut stems. This can be an irritant, therefore wash your hands if any comes into contact with your skin.
Considered poisonous, therefore keep away from children and animals.

Tropical Terrarium
Our tropical terrarium will come in an open top glass vessel, this will allow for easy maintenance and access to care for your plants.
The terrarium should sit somewhere in your home where it gets bright indirect sunlight, harsh direct sunlight can lead to burning of your plants foliage so try to avoid a south facing window.
You should get into the habit of watering your terrarium weekly, you can judge by the moisture in the soil, if there is excess sitting in the base do not water until this has evaporated.
We recommend that you invest in a mister to give your plants a mist each week, particularly if its in a dry air environment, if you have your terrarium in a bathroom or humid space you wont need to mist as regular

If you find that your plants are becoming quite unruly or overgrowing you can trim them back at the base of the stems with a pair of sharp pruning scissors - Do not be tempted to prune with a knife

Epipremnum Aureum
One of the easiest plants to care, it's gained it's nickname "Devil's ivy" because it is almost impossible to kill and it stays green even when kept in the dark. Can adapt to bright indirect sunlight or partial shade.
Keep in average room temperature (16-24oC).
To keep the leaves hydrated, use a fine mister to humidify your plant. If kept in a well-lit area, allow the first 2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. If kept in a shaded area, allow the soil to nearly dry out before watering again.
The Devil's Ivy can grow up to 10 feet long. If it becomes to unruly, just prune back to preferred length with sharp, clean pruning scissors. You can also propagate your cuttings and grow Mini Devil's Ivies! Feed with liquid Plant Fertilizer every 6 weeks, from April to October.
These are toxic to pets, so keep on a high shelf out of harms way.
Desert Terrarium
Our handmade Desert Terrariums are created in an open top glass vessel, to help create a dry air environment. This will also allow easy access for any plant maintenance.
Keep your Desert Terrarium in an indirect-bright spot. Never keep in bright sunlight - the inside of a Terrarium is 3 to 5 times hotter than average room temperature, so if kept in direct sunlight your plants will get scorched and dry up.
Ideal temperatures are 16-24°C. Avoid cold draughts.
Avoid overwatering your open terrarium. The terrarium is a desert micro-climate, so it’s easy to overindulge when watering. Just give the plants a good spritz once a month.
Your Cacti and Succulents are slow growing plants, so you'll not have to worry about pruning your plants frequently.

Sansevieria
Commonly know as the "Snake Plant" or "Mother-in-Law's Tongue" due to its sharp edges.
These low maintenance plants can adapt to a well-lit spot or semi-shade in your home. Keep in a dry area in your home and away from cold areas.
Ideal in average room temperature (16-24oC).
Do not let your Sansevieria sit in water. The soil needs to be dried out before watered. Check the soil once a week, before watering again.

Sedum Burrito
Most commonly known as a Donkey's Tail, these easy growers can trail up to 2 metres in length!
Keep in a well-lit spot, ideally near a South-facing window where it can get 6-8 hours of sunlight.
Once the soil has dried out, then give it a small drink. No misting needed, as it's used to dry heat - so no cold areas.
Ideal in average room temperature (16-24oC).
Handle this plant with care, as an knock will cause it drop it's leaf pods or break the sensitive stems. With any breakages, you can easily propagate them by sitting on cacti soil and lightly mist with water once a week. Repot once the roots are 2 inches long.
These are pet friendly plants!
Dracaena
Sometimes known as a Dragon Tree, as the name derives from the latin term for Dragon, "Draconem".
Prefers a bright, indirect spot in your home. Keep away from radiators and fireplaces, and keep in average room temperature (16-24oC).
Not a needy plant - allow the first 2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again.
To help humidify your Dracaena, fill a shallow dish with stones, and fill with water. Place your potted plant on top of stones, and the room temperature will create a gentle steam to humidify. Alternatively, invest in a fine spray mister.
Toxic plant, keep away from pets.
Ceropegia Woodii
Sometimes known as a Dragon Tree, as the name Due to their sweetheart shaped leaves, the String of Hearts is a must for any Plant Parent. Easy to care for, they also have the loveliest pink tubular flowers that bloom in Spring/Summer.
Keep in bright/indirect sunlight, ideally in a South-facing space. Prefers low to no humidity, as they're found on high African mountain tops.
Keep in average room temperature (16-24oC) or a warmer spot in your home. Water the soil when it has dried out.
Take time to gently separate the stems of your String of Hearts, to avoid any tangling and damages.
This plant is toxic to Pets.
Cacti + Succulents
With over 500 varieties to choose from, there's definitely a Cactus or Succulent for everyone.
These desert plants do best in a brightly lit spot, ideally on a South Facing window.
Due to their dry heat origins, keep at least room temperature (16-24oC) away from cold areas. No humidity.
Allow their soil to dry out before watering again, and do not mist the leaves. If the leaves are brown and crispy, then you plant isn't getting enough water. If the leaves are yellow and mushy, it's too cold and/or too much water.
Come Winter, you should move your Cacti and Succulents away from cold windows, and keep in an indirect and warm spot. You can also get away with little to no watering during the Winter months also.
Not all Cacti and Succulents are pet friendly. Sedum, Echeveria, Opuntia and Haworthia are all furry friendly.
Tillandsia
Native to the Southern Americans, these alien-looking plants are deceptively easy to look after. They get their name due to the fact they generally found hanging in the air! They are able to pull moisture and nutrients from the air with dense scales on their leaves called "trichomes".
Prefer an indirect bright spot, to avoid scorching.
Tillandsia have a completely different watering routine than the average houseplant. Fill a bowl with tepid water. Dunk your Air Plant and leave to soak for 30-45 mins. After this, lay your plant on a towel to dry off for a further 20 minutes and return it to it's sunny spot.
You'll notice over time that the end of each leaf will start to turn a red/burgundy colour. This is a sign that a flower will bloom. After the flower blooms and starts to wilt, gently twist and remove the flower to keep your Tillandsia healthy.
Pet friendly!
Bromeliad
As colourful as the rainbow, the Bromeliad comes in so many various colour and pattern combos! They're ideal if you're looking for a pop of colour all year round, the their Flower a.k.a Bract lasts up to 7 months.
Place this in a bright spot in Winter, and indirect bright light in Summer (to avoid scorching).
Keep in average room temperature (16-24°C) and away from radiators.
As they love humidity, fill a shallow dish with stones, and fill with water. Place your potted plant on top of stones, and the room temperature will create a gentle steam to humidify. Alternatively, invest in a fine spray mister.
They also have a self-watering system in the center. So replace this with fresh water every 2 weeks to avoid mould and insects. When the Flower/Bract starts to die, prune back with clean scissors.

These native Mexican beauties will add a touch of green luxury to any home. They're named after their Lipstick shaped red flowers, that bloom twice a year with proper care.
Keep in at least a bright indirect spot, ideally South facing for plenty of Sun. Without sufficient sunlight, it'll stop blooming flowers.
Can survive in high humidity, as they're originally from humid Mexican climates. To help this, finely mist the leaves on a weekly basis.

Ficus Moclame
Ficus microcarpa Moclame has glossy oval leaves. It is easy to care for and is well known for filtering the air of pollutants, making it an ideal healthy plant for any home or office.
It has many common names including Pot Belly Fig, Laurel Fig, Laurel Rubber and Curtain Fig.
Water quite regularly in the growing season but allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again.
Benefits from occasional misting and cleaning of leaves.
Philodendron Royal New Queen
The Philodendron ‘New Red’ is a hybrid of several philodendron species. Its beautiful deep dark leaves and red coloured stems make this plant a real eye-catcher!
The philodendron ‘New Red’ is also known as ‘Royal Queen’
Best in moderate to bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as this may cause the leaves to fade.
Water well then allow the top inch of the soil to dry out before re-watering.
Will tolerate some degree of drought better than having its roots too wet.
Ponytail Palm
The Ponytail Palm, also known as Beaucarnea Recurvata, or Nolina is a distinctive looking houseplant with a swollen thick brown stem at its base that stores water.
The long narrow curly, dark green leaves flow up from this base much like a plume of water in a fountain.
Keep in bright but indirect sunlight, can survive in lower lighting conditions.
Water when the top inch of soil is dry to touch (it stores its water in its trunk), mist the foliage often.
Hoya Bella \ Linearis
The Hoya Bella is a stunning flowering Hoya. Clusters of sweetly scented porcelain and candy pink flowers dangle on the end of long stems. Also known as the porcelain plant
Pot size 14cm and average 30/40cm in length, this is a fast-growing plant that will soon reach long lengths!
To encourage the formation of flower buds, try to position the plant where it will receive bright light - and even a little direct sun at either the beginning or end of the day.
Throughout the summer you should always keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
Oxalis
Also known as the 'False Shamrock' plant, grown from bulb.
The foliage of this plant is edible and known to close up at night-time which makes it a very interesting plant to watch.
Flowers from June to August
This plant enjoys full light and should always have its soil kept moist.
Growing oxalis indoors means placing it in bright light in a room with cool temperatures if you can. (60-70 degrees is ideal.)
Boston Fern
Boston ferns (Nephrolepis exaltata) are possibly one of the easiest indoor ferns to grow. They are an elegant non-toxic plant and looks great in a steamy bathroom!
Boston ferns do best in bright, indirect light. Too much shade can result in sparse fronds that aren’t their typical bright colour. And too much sun can burn the fronds.
These ferns like organically rich, loamy soil with good drainage. Poorly drained soil can cause root rot and ultimately kill the plant.
To successfully grow Boston ferns, it is key to keep the soil lightly moist (but not soggy) at all times.
If the soil begins to dry out, the fern’s foliage can quickly dry out and drop off the plant.
Satin Pothos
Satin Pothos has large, heart-shaped matte green leaves with silvery-white splotches and edges.
It is more compact than its relative plant Epipremnum (Devils Ivy) and makes a beautiful hanging plant, with an elegant, satin sheen.
It can be trained to grow along the edges of shelves.
Keep in bright but indirect sunlight and does not require much water, but does like a humid environment.
Allow the soil to dry out slightly between watering, too much water will kill this plant
Maranta Kerchoveana
The tropical-looking foliage of this eye-catching house plant has a row of distinctive dark brownish splotches on the upper surface, which run down the length of the leaf on either side of the midrib.
These splotches are at their darkest when the leaf is young, but then the colour starts to change, becoming greener and paler as the leaf ages.
Also, at night, the leaves will often fold up on themselves (hence the common name of prayer plant), but open up again each morning.
Likes to have its soil kept moist but not wet and should be in a spot getting partial shade to avoid burns on the foliage
Strelitzia
These beautiful indoor plants are not currently in bloom and can take up to 6 years to produce spectacular bright orange and midnight blue flowers that look a little like the head of a colourful crane commonly known as 'Bird of Paradise'
Over time with nurture and care, this will grow into a beautiful large indoor plant.
Keep at room temperature or above in a bright sunny spot, the soil should be kept moist but do not overwater.
Allow the soil to dry out slightly during the winter months before topping up
Bonsai Carmona
This indoor Bonsai originated in southern China, having matured for over 6 years and shaped to resemble an ancient tree.
The perfect gift for someone who has a love for bringing the outdoors in!
Place your Bonsai indoors in a bright position, but not in direct sunlight, keep away from draughts in temperatures between 15-25oC.
The soil should be kept moist but not very wet, you should never allow your Bonsai to dry out completely between watering.
Phalaenopsis Orchid
A super popular houseplant displaying beautiful exotic purple, pink and white striped blooms.
Keep this plant in bright but indirect sunlight, not enough light and the plant will not flower.
These plants can tend to be more difficult to care for, but when you get it right you will be rewarded with lots of beautiful blooms.
They require a constant level of humidity, so regular misting is a must. Avoid misting the flowers directly.
Will require weekly watering (usually once a week), but it is very important not to overwater as the roots can rot.
Only water if the top layer of soil is dry to touch or if the pot it is in feels light.
Do not let soil get soggy.
This plant is perfect for the kitchen or the bathroom! Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.
Anthurium
Anthurium make wonderful houseplants.
This beautiful variety has heart-shaped leaves and gorge peach coloured flowers which are very long-lasting.
Prefers bright, indirect light – avoid direct sunlight.
Water once the top inch of the compost has dried.
Feed with a weak solution once in spring and once in summer.
Prefers humidity – mist often.
Opuntia
Opuntia jamaicensis, the Jamaica prickly pear cactus house plant.
Prefers bright light. Direct sunlight is ok but take care to ensure this does not scorch the plant.
Ensure that this plant is potted in free-draining cactus compost
Allow the soil to dry out before watering.
Do not overwater. Never allow this plant to stand in water as it can easily suffer from root rot
Begonia Maculata Wightii
Begonia Maculata commonly referred to as the Polka dot Begonia, is undoubtedly one of the most strikingly gorgeous species of indoor plants.
This exotic plant derives its name from its unique silver spotted leaves and red undersides.
Keep in a bright well lit room but not in direct sunlight.
keep the soil damp but not very wet, only water when the top of the soil is dry to touch.
Aspidistra
Aspidistra are sometimes known as the Cast Iron Plant because they’re almost impossible to kill.
They are quite forgiving if you forget to water them, but we suggest you don't totally neglect them.
Drought tolerant but water when the top inch is dry to touch.
These guys can survive in most light conditions with the exception of harsh direct sunlight.
Mist regular
Areca Palm
A great value bushy palm to fill a corner in your home.
The Areca Palm prefers moist and well-drained soil with temperatures ranging from 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (18-24 Degrees Celsius).
Easy to care for, only water when the top inch of soil is dry to touch, and mist occasionally.
Keep in a bright spot away from a radiator.
Moss Wall
Your moss wall is probably one of the neatest decorations you have in your home or office. The best thing about it is you don’t have to worry about maintaining it frequently!
Moss is perfect for your living wall garden, even if you have other live or artificial plants in other areas of the building
Your moss wall doesn’t need sunlight to thrive.
Of course, if you want to place it in the path of sunlight, that’s perfectly fine! You just want to be sure it doesn’t get too much direct sunlight throughout the day, because of the vibrancy this plant will lose as a result of too much light.
Preserved moss doesn’t need water, as its condition renders it maintenance-free. It will forever flourish all on its own, with little to no effort needed from you. All you have to do is hang it up and enjoy!
